Uniforms

Cub Scouts and adult leaders wear uniforms to Scouting activities. Cub Scout uniforms serve a dual purpose: demonstrating membership in the group (everyone is dressed alike) and individual achievement (Scout's badges and loops they’ve earned). Wearing the uniform to meetings and activities also encourages a neat appearance, a sense of belonging, and good behavior.

Scouts are expected to wear their Field uniforms (commonly called Class "A") to all pack and den Meetings unless told otherwise. Activity (Class B) uniforms are used for less formal activities.

Trousers of any durable material are acceptable in place of the official Cub Scout shorts, pants, or skort.

Where to get uniforms

All Class "A" uniform items can be purchased from the Scout Shop on Dorsey Road or online from the official BSA Scout Shop. Class "B" shirts can be purchased from the pack (in both kid's and adult's sizes). Of course, a Scout is Thrifty... experienced uniforms can usually be found for sale online for reasonable prices--just check with your den leader to be sure it's a current style. If you're having trouble finding an affordable uniform, the pack also has a small collection of experienced uniforms that other Scouts have outgrown.

Brag Vests

During their time in Cub Scouts, your child can earn a variety of patches in recognition of their accomplishments and commemorate the activities they participate in. Unfortunately, there isn't enough space on the Cub Scout uniform to show all of these at once. Brag vests are an optional, but fun way for a Cub Scout to display those patches.
